Lassi O. T. Lehto and Klas Linblad of Finland combine forces once again as Jimi Tenor & Freestyle Man to spread the message of contemplative, contemporary, collaborative electronic music. The titular ‘Forgotten Planet Awakes’ sets scene and stage for just that; dawn emerges on a distant and exotic planet, complete with orchestral sentiments, breathy melodic lines, and a light percussive ensemble. The vocally bits really shine on the extended Ricardo Villalobos remix, with nostalgic whisps free flowing amongst the more direct-but-also-wacky-and-dissonant-dance-approach. 🍍
